What is Empowerment?
Employee empowerment is a management strategy that aims to give employees the tools and resources necessary to make confident decisions in the workplace without supervision. Empowering is a long term, resource- intensive strategy that involves significant time and financial investment from the organization’s leaders. Empowerment is the process of enabling or authorizing an individual to think, behave, and take action, and control work and decision-making about their job in autonomous, independent, self-directed ways.

If organization manage employees, the first thing need to understand is that organization success depends on employee’s success. The more empower employees, the more they will grow and thrive. These are the mail things that affect to empower employees,

Define the boundaries within which an employee can make his or her own decisions. In doing so, employer give them freedom to act. Example in sale job sales rep has a freedom to solve problems without consulting his manager.

Employee Empowerment is a term that describes an employee mindset of responsibility, accountability, capability and autonomy. In terms of organization, empowerment is the opposite of micromanagement this is why it is beneficial for employers to empower employees, thus fostering employee reliability and a team-work environment.
